On April 30th, 2024, several BCDC Board members went to the Brookline Housing Authority Colonel Floyd redevelopment groundbreaking. This is a project that needs to be celebrated as the building, which is elderly housing, will be completely FOSSIL-FUEL FREE!

This project was made possible by legislation passed in the State House, led by our very own State Rep, Tommy Vitolo. Housing Justice and Climate Justice are extremely intertwined and it needs to start with our most vulnerable communities.

BCDC applauds Brookline Housing Authority for this great venture and praise to BHA’s Executive Director, Michael Alrpin, for his dedication to bringing equity and opportunity to the BHA residents. May this be a first step to a more prosperous future for all.”
