BCDC’s “Donuts with Delegates” Housing Policy Advocacy Event

On March 26th, BCDC joined many Massachusetts community development corporations and the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations (MACDC) in inviting local delegations of State Representatives and State Senators to a breakfast meeting to discuss and advocate for Massachusetts housing policy priorities.

BCDC was honored to host Senator Cynthia Creem, Rep. Tommy Vitolo, and representatives from Rep. Ruth Balser’s and Rep. William MacGregor’s offices. The event was well-attended and the conversation spanned the specific challenges Brookline faces in developing affordable housing, Brookline’s Real Estate Transfer Fee legislation, and an array of other state housing policy priorities described here.

It was a really successful event that provided some critical one-on-one time with our leaders in the Statehouse to really advocate for solutions to Brookline’s housing challenges. Thank you to all who attended from the Statehouse and everyone else that made time to be with us to talk about solutions!
